This hotel is a little tattered and worn, and our rooms were a bit small, but the location was ideal for its proximity to museums, parks, historic walls, and shopping. We were generally pleased with the breakfast, and the staff was friendly.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the city with secured underground car park. It is minutes away from the local attractions and it is very nice and clean inside. The only annoying thing was, the hotel didn't informed the guests in advance about the Madrid Marathon and the ATP Madrid Open taking place in the city on the day of our arrival! As a result we have spent 3 hours in traffic trying to get to the hotel and had to abandon the car miles away and continue on foot to the hotel. This was easily avoidable by sending us a simple email with warning!

This Mercure is nicely located for Madrid walking visit. The staff did not welcome us at all really and never offered us any help for our stay The coffee machine that was meant to be in the room and was requested never arrived . Disappointing staff at reception but great at breakfast.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean with very comfortable beds. Our only issue was that we could hear the room above us when people walked around or moved chairs etc. Very easy to walk to the city center, cafes, restaurants, and the metro.
